Good UV resistance

Black or Red color conformable, rubbery, insulating putty. For use as a moisture proof seal on telecommunication networks and distribution systems.
As a water barrier material on high voltage joints and terminations, and as an insulation and water barrier material in low voltage applications.
Excellent properties, staying elastic and non-hardening throughout its service life.
After application, the compound develops good adhesion to surfaces such as metal and most rubber and plastic cable insulation and sheathing materials.
The thickness of the tape makes filling irregular shapes and voids easy, speedy and economical.
The compound can be used with acrylic and epoxy systems.
It is also suitable for use with many joint-box filling compounds (e.g. cold and hot pouring compounds up to 160oC).
Service temperature -30 to +80 deg C
Supplied in strips or roll form
A semi-conducting, self-amalgamating EPR (Ethylene Propylene Rubber) tape.
Colour of tape is black. The product and interleave are printed with the cautionary words 'semi-conducting' to distinguish the product from insulating tapes.
For ensuring the continuity of conductor and core screens at cable joints in a variety of polymeric and elastomeric insulated cables.
For jointing power cables up to 69kV.
For stress cone construction, where it provides the conducting layer.
For smoothing electrical stresses on irregular shaped lugs and connectors.
For smoothing electrical stresses in joints and terminations using premoulded components.
For smoothing electrical stresses on overhead power lines, reducing discharges and consequent interference to local radio and telephone communications.
Excellent physical and electrical properties with a high degree of stability.
The tape has all the normal benefits associated with self-amalgamating tapes giving void-free, homogeneous wrapping without the application of heat or pressure.
Excellent resistance to water and ozone.
The tape has been formulated to minimise corrosion potential.
The product is approved to EDF HN 26-S-04.
Meets specification UTE C 33-011.
Service temperature -40 to +100oC. Overload temperature 120oC.
